I love this!! The detail in the birds is perfection! Im excited to see the finished piece!! Im not sure what you could fix at this point, but keep doing what you're doing!
Remember to add natural colors into the cardinal. Like browns and yellows for shadows and highlights. That will make it pop more. The only concern I have is that you started with the foreground first. Tread carefully and lightly with your background.
Phase one Complete. Really scared to start the middle bird. It's going to be a cardinal! So the emphasis of the red is kinda what makes the piece!!
